Tyler has played standup bass on the CDs of a huge list of West Coast Blues and Jump Blues players since the early nineties as well as live gigs. He is considered one of the best in his field.

In 2016 he broke out with his own somewhat otherworldly swing blues introducing his highly melodic Four guitar as its main featured voice as well playing standup bass, piano, midi voices, and Mellotron. He has recorded 3 critically acclaimed solo CDs.

In 2020 and soon after he has been drawn in to give Christian music a toe-tapping swing and shuffle feel to help bring in or back that joyous feel of the music of the Lord. The sound and feel of the Standup bass are essential in achieving that sound.
